First, I want to emphatically state that I love West Sixth beers! I stopped by the taproom soon after it opened... 2 sips into my first pint of IPA, I bought a case! Had several other beers during that visit, not a weak one in the bunch! At the same time, I commented to the bartender that the logo looked god-awful like Magic Hat's #9 turned upside-down. He replied, yeah, we hear that a lot! The logo may have been professionally designed, BUT, even if the designer wasn't familiar with other products in the market, surely at least one of the beer geeks involved would have noticed the strong resemblance, and it was apparently decided to press on, regardless!... WHY? By now, this fight is in the hands of the lawyers, and there are conflicting versions of what has transpired so far, (see "The Full Pint" on FaceBook) But this fight should have never been started!  less

    Mark Asheville was voted BeerCity USA for the last 3 years. New Belgium, Sierra Nevada and Oskar Blues have all opened or are opening second breweries there. Seems like a good beer spot. :)
