The pour was a clear medium orange with an average (1-2 finger) white pillowy head that settled down to a thick film which lasted throughout and possessed excellent sheets of sticky lacing.
The aroma was of light grain malts, floral hops and a funky Belgian yeast with notes of citrus (orange), coriander, and a somewhat mild fruity ester (banana and apple).
The taste was yeasty right off the bat with a lightly sweet acidic presence and a touch of citrus which was present throughout, the finish was lightly bitter with a hint of citrus peel, a very light tartness and a bit of fruity spiciness at the end. The flavor lingered for a good long while following the swallow, with a nice yeasty spicy taste staying on the taste buds for a tad longer.
Mouthfeel was just beyond light in body and dry in texture with a bold and lively carbonation.
Overall I personally thought this was a rather impressive tasting Saison with a mild fruity bitterness and a spicy yeast taste that finished off this brew wonderfully, making it a very enjoyable drinking experience...
