Poured a clear medium brown with an average sized (1-2 finger) off-white creamy head that was mostly lasting and had fair lacing.
The aroma was of a heavy smoked malt, a very light bitter hop and a moldy leathery yeast with a heavy note of smoke and meat (like a smoked ham).
It tasted a little acidic, mildly malty and a little bitter with an intense smoky flavor from start to finish. The flavor lasted an extremely long time and all I could taste was the liquid smoke that was left behind on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was about half way to medium in body with a watery yet creamy texture and a soft carbonation.
Overall a very different brew than what I am used to, it was kind of like drinking liquid smoke straight out of the bottle. I have had other Smoked Beers but none this intense. Needless to say, not all beers are for everyone and this one is definitely not for me!!
