Poured a dark brown with some reddish undertones and a huge almost cream colored rocky head that was mostly lasting and produced some fair lacing.
The aroma was quite complex with a nutty dark grain malt, an herbal hop and a sweet earthy yeast with notes of cherries, apple, sweet dried fruit and a mild alcohol wine scent.
It tasted sweet, malty and fruity with hints of cherries and dried dark fruit in the beginning then became very tart with a nice apple vinegar flavor at the finish.
Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body with the texture being watery at first and finishing quite dry. The carbonation was lively and a little bubbly.
Overall an appealing sweet-sour flavor mixed with an abundance of fruitiness which hid the somewhat high alcohol content.
