The pour was a murky dark red almost cranberry in color with a huge (3-4 finger) frothy pink head that had good retention and some really good lacing that was left sticking to the edges of the glass.
The aroma was of a toasted bread malt, a citrus hop and a mild sweet yeast with notes of caramel, orange and a nice dose of cherries.
It tasted malty sweet with a hint of orange at first then became ever so lightly bitter with a nice fruity finish that left the flavor lasting an average duration after the swallow.
Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and watery yet lightly dry in texture with a mild carbonation.
Overall an interesting take on a traditional brew, very tasty and refreshingly different.
