The pour was a medium brown with a reddish hue and a large (2-3 finger) off white rocky head that was mostly lasting and had excellent lacing that left behind some nice residue which was left sticking to the glass.
The aroma was of a mild caramel malt, a light resin hop and a sweet yeast with notes of banana, maple syrup and some dark fruit with a mild alcohol tinge.
It tasted malty sweet with a hint of caramel and a touch of syrup in the beginning and finished about the same but with notes of banana, some fruitiness and a mild alcohol warming at the end. The flavor was left lingering on the taste buds for a nice long while along with the mild taste of alcohol.
Mouthfeel was light to medium in body, creamy and a little syrupy in texture with a nice mild carbonation.
Overall a very pleasant tasting Dubbel, not to sweet with a mild alcohol finish. A good representation of the style and a very well balanced brew.
