The pour was a very dark non-transparent brown with a slight red hue. It had a large (2-3 finger) light brown rocky head that was mostly diminishing leaving behind a decent amount or residue thus producing some really good lacing.
The aroma was of a roasted dark bread malt and funky scented yeast with notes of coffee and molasses.
The taste was pretty basic, very lightly sweet and a bit malty with a note of molasses at first then it became mildly bitter with a nice coffee note at the end. The flavor lasted an average amount of time after the swallow with the taste of coffee being the last thing left on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just under medium in body and a little watery in texture with a medium carbonation.
Overall a straight up Porter that had decent body and flavor, but nothing specific to make it stand out.
