The pour was a clear medium purplish brown with an average sized (1-2 finger) light brown fizzy head that diminished to a thin layer of residue which created some fair sticky lacing.
The aroma was extremely fruity and malty with a light bread malt and a sweet doughy yeast having notes of raspberries, pears, plums and a hint of oak.
The taste was sweet, malty and a tad acidic with a mild hint of pears early on with the end being a bit tart and sweet with notes of raspberry, and plums and having a pronounced sour finish. The flavor hung around for a good long while with the taste being mostly of a berry/plum flavor.
Mouthfeel was a definite medium in body with a subtle dry texture and a nice prickly carbonation.
Overall a fruity, tasty, refreshing brew with just the right amount of malt and tartness.
