The pour was a murky dark brown with a slight reddish hue and an average sized (1-2 finger) light beige rocky head that reduced down to a few puddles of residue thus creating some excellent sheets of lace.
The aroma was of a roasted chocolate malt, a mild resin hop and a moldy yeast with notes of molasses and coffee.
The taste was very lightly sweet with a large dose of black malts and molasses early on and then became lightly bitter with a hint of coffee towards the end. The flavor lasted only a short time proceeding the swallow, with a malty coffee taste that was left to linger on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just under medium in body and a bit watery in texture with a nice medium carbonation.
Overall pretty much a typical Black Lager, nothing here to make it particularly memorable...
