The pour was a murky medium brown with nice orange highlights and an average sized (1-2 finger) off white frothy head that had awesome retention, lasting throughout and producing some really excellent sticky lacing.
The aroma was of a light grain malt, a moderate dose of floral hops and a mild soapy yeast with notes of caramel, banana, citrus (grapefruit) and a touch of dark berries.
The taste was lightly sweet with a touch of bitterness and had notes of caramel and a bit of banana at first, then progressed into a very nice hoppy citrus taste with a hint of berries at the end. The flavor lasted a truly long time after the swallow, with a really tasty fruity hoppy flavor left to settle on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body and had a dry texture with a good strong lively carbonation.
Overall a bold fruity IPA that goes down so smooth that it offers no notice of the higher alcohol content...
