The pour was a clear copper brown with a huge (3-4 finger) off white rocky head that had great retention, finally reducing to a large foamy cap and had some fair spotty lacing.
The aroma was of toasted caramel malts, spruce hops and a doughy yeast with notes of citrus (orange), toffee and dark fruit (plums and raisins).
The taste was moderately sweet and had a nice malty feel with hints of toffee and citrus at first and then became mildly hoppy with a note of dark fruit and a slight bitter finish. The flavor lasted only a short while with the fruity hoppy taste fading relatively quick.
Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and mildly dry in texture with a soft carbonation.
Overall a decent Winter Warmer that was very drinkable, although it is nothing over the top...
