The pour was a medium amber with a yellow hue and an average sized (1-2 finger) white rocky head that receded down to a thin layer and small collar of residue with poor lacing.
The aroma was rather strong of toasted caramel malts and a mildly sweet yeast with notes of toffee, butterscotch and citrus (orange peel).
The taste was very malty and a tad sweet with a hint of toffee early on and then had a mild citrus bitterness (probably from the orange peel) and a light alcohol ending. The flavor lasted an average duration after the swallow and was basically malty sweet and very mildly bitter.
Mouthfeel was a step or two beyond light in body with a mildly syrupy texture and a lively carbonation.
Overall a rather tasty brew with a bit more of and an alcohol ending than the ABV suggests...
