The pour was a cloudy medium red with some brown undertones and a large (2-3 finger) white frothy head that diminished quickly down to a thin cap and medium collar, producing fair sheets of lacing.
The aroma was of a mild bread malt, floral hops and a moderate dose of sweaty yeast with notes of apple, caramel and dark fruit (plums and cherries).
The taste was lightly malty and sweet with hints of caramel and apple from the start and sweetly acidic with a note of dark fruit and a good yeast presence at the end. The flavor hung on for a little while with a nice fruity wheat taste left behind.
Mouthfeel was a step above light in body with an oily dry texture and a lively carbonation.
Overall a brew that is very drinkable, and has a delightful mellow fruity flavor...
