The pour was a cloudy medium burnt orange with an average sized (1-2 finger) white rocky head that had good retention, reducing to a medium cap and having some good streaky lacing.
The aroma was of a caramel malt, pine and floral hops and a mild moldy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (orange peel).
The taste was a nice bitter hoppy with a touch of citrus throughout, and had a light malty sweetness and a hint of caramel towards the end. The flavor lasted an average amount of time after the swallow with a hoppy slightly sweet malty taste settling nicely on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was a bit beyond light in body and dry in texture with a lively carbonation.
Overall a nice refreshing twist on an IPA, the slight malty sweet finish was surprisingly enjoyable...
