The pour was a hazy dark brown with a large (2-3 finger) light brown creamy head that lasted a very long time, finally reducing to a thin cap and a medium collar which in turn did produce some good sticky lacing.

The aroma was of a toasted cereal malt and a leathery yeast with notes of milk chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel, molasses and a bit of oats.

The taste was extremely malty and a tad sweet with hints of caramel and molasses early on, and then became rather creamy and a little bitter with notes of chocolate and coffee towards the end. The flavor hung on for a good long duration letting an espresso mocha taste settle in wonderfully on the taste buds.

Mouthfeel was medium in body with a light creamy robust texture and a mild to medium carbonation.

Overall a brew that is an exquisite representation of this style, with the oats giving it a nice smooth, creamy feel and a great drinkability. Most definitely one of the best Brown Ale's I have tasted to date...
