The pour was a cloudy medium copper orange with a large (2-3 finger) white frothy head that did have great retention, finally reducing to a large cap with some fair spotty lacing.
The aroma was of a light straw malt, pine and citrus hops and a sweet earthy yeast with notes of citrus (grapefruit) and caramel.
The taste was bitter sweet and mildly malty with hints of caramel and citrus from the start, with the finish having a nice hoppy pine ending. The flavor stuck around for an average duration after the swallow with a mild bitterness that faded slowly.
Mouthfeel was light in body with a dry oily texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall an IPA that had a nice malty feel to it, which did a great job of compensating for the bold and healthy hoppiness...
