The pour was a hazy burnt orange with an average (1-2 finger) white creamy head that was mostly diminishing leaving behind a small collar and poor spotty lacing.
The aroma was of a sweet grain malt, pine and citrus hops and a sweet soapy yeast with notes of apple, citrus (orange and grapefruit), pineapple, caramel and a slight alcohol tinge.
The taste was very sweet with a mild maltiness and had hints of caramel and orange early on, and then became very hoppy with a strong boozy grapefruit note and a touch of candi sugar and pineapple at the finish. The flavor hung on for a very long time with a sweet hoppy alcohol burn left to fade away slowly.
Mouthfeel was almost medium in body with a syrupy texture and a very soft carbonation.
Overall a very sweet boozy brew that grows on you with every sip, and even though it possessed an extremely high ABV the sweet malts helped to take of the edge...
