The pour was a clear medium orange with an average (1-2 finger) white fizzy head that dissipated in a matter of seconds and had virtually no lacing to speak of.
The aroma was of a funky Belgian yeast and a mild straw malt with notes of green apple, pears, citrus (lemon) and possessed a nice mild tartness.
The taste was lightly sweet, a tad tart and a little acidic with a mild fruity ester early on, and then had a large musty yeast presence and a slight bitter citrus peel ending. The flavor hung on for an average duration proceeding the swallow, with a slight harsh bitter fruity taste left lying on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was light in body and mildly dry in texture with a strong prickly carbonation.
Overall this was a rather tasty Wild Ale that was light and fruity with a somewhat bold bitterness and a great drinkability. It most definitely is a good collaboration between Sierra Nevada and Russian River...
