The pour was a murky medium reddish brown with an average (1-2 finger) light cream colored pillowy head that had good retention and excellent sheeting of sticky lacing.
The aroma was of a dark bread malt, floral hops and a sweaty yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit), rye and a mild sweet fruity ester.
The taste was a malty bitter-sweet with a hint of caramel from the onset, progressing into a bold hoppy citrus bitter with a touch of rye and a mild sweetness at the end. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow with a slight citrus peel bitterness left lying on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was right between light and medium in body with a dry and slightly oily texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this brewer never seem to disappoint, this was a nice hoppy brew with a slight doughy sweetness and just the right touch of rye...
