The pour was a clear medium brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown creamy head that reduced down to a medium film and large collar with fair runny lacing.
The aroma was most definitely loaded with Hazelnut and also had a toasted caramel malt and a sweet earthy yeast with notes of caramel, toffee and a slight coffee roastiness.
The taste was malty, nutty and lightly sweet with a hint of caramel early on, with the finish possessing a mild toffee presence and a roasty coffee ending. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow with the roasty sweet nutty taste fading ever so slowly into the back ground.
Mouthfeel was a step or two below medium in body and quite creamy in texture with a good solid medium carbonation.
Overall a fantastic, unique tasting Brown Ale that had all the flavors blending so well that it made this drinking experience simply wonderful. Only thing I wish is that they sold it in six packs year round...
