The pour was a cloudy reddish orange with an average (1-2 fingers) white creamy head that pretty much lasted throughout, reducing slightly and possessing excellent sheets of lacing.
The aroma was on the mild side with a grain malt, floral and citrus hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit).
The taste was lightly bitter with a nice caramel sweetness early on, it then become a tad bitterer with a moderate dose of grapefruit and a bold hoppy presence towards the finish. The flavor lasted a decent amount of time after the swallow with a slight citrus peel hoppiness lingering for little while longer.
Mouthfeel was a few steps below medium in body with a dry and slightly watery texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this was a pretty solid Pale Ale. Although it was nothing overly special, it did have a really good taste and a great drinkability. I definitely would drink again and knowing that part of the proceeds go to American Veterans and thier families dosent hurt either...
