The pour was a deep dark pitch black with an average (1-2 finger) medium brown rocky head, which receded slowly down to a thick film with a large collar and possessed excellent sheeting of lacing.

The aroma was quite robust and mildly sweet with a roasted cereal malt and a leathery yeast, with notes of baker’s chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla and a faint hint of smoke.

The taste was a roasty malty-sweet with a hint of chocolate from the beginning and lasting throughout, but it did progress with a smooth coffee presence followed by a lightly bitter smoky finish. The flavor hung on for a decently long duration with a bold and creamy roastiness left behind to settle in on the taste buds.

Mouthfeel was a few steps above medium in body with a creamy and slightly dry texture and a nice mellow carbonation.

Overall this was a beer that offered up a very nice creamy feel along with a bold sweet roastiness and a mildly bitter mocha taste, which most definitely made this a very drinkable and enjoyable brew...
