Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout

  • A big thanks to Ken fro sending me this Milk Stout from Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery in Farmville, North Carolina. The Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout was recently featured on Menuism as one of the 15 Craft Beers To Try Before You Die.

This Milk Stout pours out jet black in color with no light getting through and is topped with a two finger, loosely knit, tan head that slowly recedes down to a film. Dark chocolate, milk, coffee and roast grain on the nose. A good coffee flavor in the mouth with roast grains, chocolate and an underlying sweetness. Jam packed with flavor. Full bodied. Relatively low carbonation. Beautiful cream to the mouthfeel. Spotty lacing on th glass. A long finish that is smooth and predominantly flavored with the roast grains.

A truly excellent Milk Stout you should seek out and try. You will not be dissappointed.

12 ounce bottle, enjoy by January, 2012
