A big thanks to Ken for this St. Terese's Pale Ale from Highland Brewing Company in Asheville, North Carolina. The St. Terese's Pale Ale pours out orange in color with some gold hgues and is topped by a large, rocky, off-white head that hangs around. Malty sweetness on the nose with biscuit, orange and grapefruit. In the mouth, nice biscuit malt, caramel sweetness followed by a moderate grapefruit flavored hop bite that balances out the brew. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mostly clean mouthfeel. Moderate to long finish that is slighlty dry and hoppy.
A very smooth pale ale with a decent amount of hops to give it another layer of depth.
12 ounce bottle, 5.2% ABV, 24 IBUs, brewed on 09/07/11
