Thanks to Jason for sending me this Invocation Belgian-Style Golden Ale from Wild Heaven Craft Beers in Decatur, Gorgia. Invocation pours out a deep gold in color with a good deal of cloudy goodness and is topped with a two finger, white head that slowly reduces down to a thin film. On the nose, aromas of banana, spice, belgian yeast and an earthiness are prevelant with hints of sweetness. Fantastic flavor in the mouth. A little bitter at first with some bitter citrus but it becomes sweeter with banana, apple, clove and a peppery spice. Light side of medium bodied. Spotty lacing on the glass. Nice carbonation. Slight creaminess to the mouthfeel. The finish is quite long with good flavor and medium dryness.
A really nice American take on a Belgian style that has a ton of flavor and is very refreshing. I'd recommend this to my craft beer friends.
