A big thanks to Mike for sending me this IPA from Mad Anthony Brewing Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The IPA pours out burnt orange in color with a little sediment and cloud and is topped with a frothy, off-white head that slowly reduces to a film. Aromas of grapefruit rind, orange juice and toffee on the nose. In the mouth, a good dose of sweetness followed by a significant pine and citrus rind hop bite. Relatively low carbonation. Medium bodied. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Quite a long finish which is where the bitterness of the hops really shine.
A solid IPA with good balance and flavor. Recommended.
