The Pale Ale from Upslope Brewing Company in Boulder, Colorado pours out golden in color with good clarity and a large, frothy, white head that slowly reduces down to a thick film. On the nose, this is mostly floral with hints of citrus and a touch of caramel like sweetness. In the mouth, this is a very smooth, well balanced pale ale. Flavors of toasted bread, mild citrus bitterness and a slight spicy note. Light side of medium bodied. Quite well carbonated. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Clean mouthfeel. Moderate length finish with good flavor that is on the dry side.
A really good pale ale. Some may find it a little less hoppy than other American Pale Ales but that does not take away from the quality of this beer. Recommended.
