Three Floyds Arctic Panzer Wolf Imperial IPA

  • Thanks to Mike for this bottle of Arctic Panzer Wolf Imperial IPA from Three Floyds Brewing Company in Munster, Indiana. Arctic Panzer Wolf pours out golden orange in color with a little cold haze and is topped with a two finger, foamy, off-white head that slowly reduces down to a thin film. Huge hops on the nose. Lemon, grapefruit rind and pine with a faint caramel sweetness. Bitter in the mouth from the get go, but there is a significant malt backbone to add a little balance. Citrus rind, pine and leafy hops make up the bitterness with a touch of toffee trying to shine through but not getting very far. Medium bodied. Fine carbonation. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Some oil in a round mouthfeel. The finish is slightly juicy and quite deliciously bitter.

A fine example of a hopheads dream when he's dreaming of a bitter behemoth. Loved it! Highly recommended.

    22 ounce bottle, 9.5% ABV, 100 IBU
