Thanks to Mike for sending me this bottle of Rabbid Rabbit Saison Ale from Three Floyds Brewing Company in Munster, Indiana. Rock candy and chamomile are added during brewing. The Rabbid Rabbit Saison Ale pours out a very cloudy (bottle conditioned), golden orange in color and is topped with a two finger, foamy white head that slowly reduces down. On the nose, aromas of banana, yeast, coriander and just a hint of chamomile. In the mouth, this is light, refreshing and easy to drink. Even though this craft beer weighs in at 7.4% ABV you can't tell it. Flavors of lemon, coriander, banana, yeast, peppery spice, mild earthy bitterness and a dose of sweetness on the back end. Light side of medium bodied. Fine carbonation. Splotchy lacing on the glass. Light creaminess to the mouthfeel. A long finish with complex flavors and the sweetness hanging on the longest.
A different beer but a very good one with complex flavors layered to please the palate. Smooth drinking and very refreshing. Highly recommended.
