The Golden Saison from Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub in Idaho Springs, Colorado pours out gold in color with perfect clarity and it topped with a two finger, white, foamy head that reduces down after a few minutes. On the nose, lemon, coriander, a little yeasty and just a touch of sweetness. Lemon-lime flavors in the mouth with a little peppery spice and yeast. More sour than sweet. Light bodied. Champagne like carbonation and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Some lacing on the glass. The finish is of moderate length and quite dry.
This golden saison is a very refreshing craft beer. I can see this being an excellent brew to quench your thirst on a warm summer day. Recommended.
