The Redemption Blonde Ale from Russian River Brewing Company in Santa Rosa, California pours out a light gold in color with good clarity and is topped with a foamy, one finger, snow white colored head that readily dissipates. On the nose, slightly sour with a little funk, some banana and spice. In the mouth, grainy with some fruit but the spiciness and slight sourness shine through most. Light bodied. Well carbonated. Little lacing on the glass. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. The finish is long and dry with the spice flavors hanging around the longest.
Very clean and very refreshing. Nothing too over the top, just a solid, balanced, quaffable craft beer. Highly recommended.
