The HooDoo Kolsch Style Ale from Uinta Brewing Company in Salt Lake City, Utah pours out a clear gold in color and is topped with a two finger, foamy, snow white head that slowly reduces down to a thin film with a nice collar. On the nose, aromas of grass, biscuit and a little fruit. in the mouth, this is a very clean brew with just a little bit of graininess. Flavors of grain, faint caramel, bread, a little grass complimented with a mild bitterness and spice from the hops. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thick sheets of lacing on the glass. Clean mouthfeel. Moderately long on the finish and quite dry.
A good beer for a warm summer day that will quench your thirst and might even make mowing the lawn an enjoyable experience. Recommended.
