Marble Brewery IPA

  • The IPA from Marble Brewery in Albuquerque, New Mexico pours out a deep golden-copper in color with some cold haze and is topped by a two finger, off-white head that slowly reduces to a film. On the nose, aromas of fresh grapefruit, pine and an underlying caramel sweetness. In the mouth, this briefly starts with a little caramel sweetness that is soon surpassed by a lovely hoppy bitterness reminiscent of fresh grapefruit juice and citrus rind. Some earthy and pine like undertones. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Slight oil to the mouthfeel. Thick sheets of sticky lacing on the glass. Good length on a bitter finish.

An excellent IPA that is well crafted. More tilted to the West Coast Style but that is how I like my IPAs. Good and bitter. Highly recommended.
