Uinta Brewing Hyve Honey Ale

  • The Hyve Honey Ale from Uinta Brewing Company in Salt Lake City, Utah pours out copper in color with good clarity and is topped with a one finger, white head that recedes down to a thin film. On the nose, bread, a little grass, flower and faint honey. Slightly bitter at first in the mouth. Good amount of malt balances things out. Bready, faint honey flavors, some lemon citrus like bitterness. Light side of medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Clean mouthfeel. Good length finish with a nice bitter note right at the end.

A good craft beer but being a honey ale I'd of liked it to have more of a honey flavor to it. Nonetheless, a good beer for Summer.
