The He'Brew Hop Manna IPA from Shmaltz Brewing Company in Saratoga Springs, New York pours out copper in color with good clarity and is topped with a two finger, off white head that very slowly reduces to a thick film with a quarter inch collar. On the nose, big hoppiness. Grapefruit, orange rind, pine and a little toffee. In the mouth, balanced flavors but very hoppy without being overly bitter. Flavors of grapefruit juice, orange, pine and caramel. Medium bodied. Low to moderate carbonation. Slight oil to the mouthfeel. Sheets of lacing on the glass. The finish is mostly bitter with citrus flavors predominant and quite long.
A very nice IPA with good aroma, flavor and balance. Good value. Recommended.
