The Wildflower Wheat Ale from Marble Brewery in Albuquerque, New Mexico pours out gold in color with just a little haze and is topped with a one finger, white head that slowly reduces down to a fairly thick film with a nice collar. On the nose, aromas of hay, honeyed sweetness and a little flower. In the mouth, this is quite grainy, some light banana, spice and a distinct honey sweetness. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thin sheets of lacing on the glass. Pretty clean mouthfeel with just a touch of syrup mid-palate from the honey. Long finish with good flavor showing spice right at the end.
A really good honey wheat ale. Good flavor. Good balance. The more Marble Brewery beers I try the more I like them. Recommended.
