Lakefront Fixed Gear American Red Ale

  • The Fixed Gear American Red Ale from Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin pours out a deep amber in color with a good amount of cloud and is topped with a two finger, light tan head that slowly reduces to a film. On the nose, this is quite hoppy with pine and citrus aromas intertwined with caramel and earthy tones. In the mouth, slightly sweet at first then the hops give some bitterness to mellow the caramel flavors. Pine, citrus and caramel with an earthiness and a bit leafy. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thick sheets of lacing on the glass. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. The finish is long and mostly bitter.

A hopheads red ale. Bold hoppy flavors with an underlying sweetness. Recommended.

    12 ounce bottle, 6.5% ABV
