The Single-Wide IPA from Boulevard Brewing Company in Kansas City, Missouri pours out a golden copper in color with some cold haze and is topped with a two finger, dense, off-white head that sticks around for quite a while before receding. On the nose, slightly dank, grassy, pine and citrus hops dominate a mild toffee sweetness. In the mouth, more balanced than the nose but the grassy hops are prominent, just not overly bitter. Some citrus, pine and toffee. Light side of medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thick sheets of lacing on the glass. Mild oiliness to the mouthfeel. The finish is hoppy, dry and of good length.
A super IPA with exceptional balance and good flavor. Not overly bittter. Recommended.
