Big Sky Trout Slayer Wheat Ale

  • The Trout Slayer Wheat Ale from Big Sky Brewing Company in Missoula, Montana pours out golden in color with good clarity and is topped with a two finger, foamy, white head that reduces down to a quarter inch film. On the nose, hay, a little grass, some herbs and floral. In the mouth, big wheat flavors with some bread, grassy bitterness and very light, lemony citrus. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thick sheets of lacing on the glass. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. The finish is long, clean, slightly dry and a tad bitter.

A solid American Pale Wheat Ale with good flavor that is clean in the mouth with just the right amount of hops and very refreshing. Recommended.
