The ZON Belgian Style Witbier from Boulevard Brewing Company in Kansas City, Missouri pours out pale straw in color with a good deal of cloud and is topped with a tightly knit, two finger, snow white head that slowly reduces down to a fine film. On the nose, coriander, cilantro, clove, yeast and a touch of banana. In the mouth, good spice (clove, coriander, pepper) with some citrus notes and a little banana. Light bodied. Low carbonation. Some lacing on the glass. Clean mouthfeel. Somewhat tart and spicy on an elongated finish that is slightly dry.
A very sessionable craft beer that is light and refreshing but not absent of any flavor. Perfect for Summer. Recommended.
