The Hefeweizen from Dry Dock Brewing Company in Aurora, Colorado pours out a cloudy, pale straw in color and is topped with a large bubbled, snow white, two finger head that slowly reduces down to a thin film. On the nose, banana, clove, grass and yeast. In the mouth, perfect balance between the flavors. Flavors of banana, yeast, clove, wheat and a little lemon. Light bodied. Effervescent carbonation. Clean mouthfeel with just a hint of cream. Thin sheets of lacing on the glass. The finish is long and has good spice, finishing a tad tart.
An exceptional Hefeweizen. It is easy to see why this has medaled at GABF for the last three years. Phenomenal balance and great flavor. Highly recommended.
