The Inversion IPA (India Pale Ale) from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon pours out a clear, deep copper in color and is topped with a two finger, off white, dense head that very slowly reduces down to a thick film with a third inch collar. On the nose, aromas of pine, citrus rind, biscuit, some floral and toffee. In the mouth, quite juicy with citrus, pine, toffee and toasted malt. Medium bodied. Slightly sticky, oily mouthfeel. Almost solid lacing on the glass. The finish is long and packed with flavor that slowly fades into the distance.
A solid IPA that is a go to IPA for many hoppy beer drinkers. Always good, always consistent. Recommended.
