The Howling Wolf Weisse Bier from Grand Teton Brewing Company in Victor, Idaho pours out a pale gold in color with some cloud and is topped with just over a finger of white, fluffy head that slowly reduces down to a thin film. On the nose, mild aromas of banana, bubblegum, clove and citrus. In the mouth, flavors of banana, light citrus, clove, a touch of sweetness and the faintest of hops. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Some lacing on the glass. Clean mouthfeel. Good length on the finish with a little tartness and the fruity flavors lasting the longest.
A solid Weisse Bier that while a little reserved is very balanced. Well worth drinking and an ideal craft beer to drink all summer long. Recommended.
