The Chatoe Rogue First Growth Single Malt Ale from Rogue Ales in Newport, Oregon pours out gold in color with good clarity and is topped with just over a finger of evenly bubbled, snow white head that reduces down quite quickly leaving a collar. On the nose, very clean with faint aromas of malt, floral hops and a little yeast. In the mouth, this is light and barely tilted to the sweet side. Flavors of mild honey like sweetness, grass, grain and a dose of hops. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Little lacing on the glass. Clean mouthfeel. Good length on the finish which is more bitter with a nice hoppiness.
A good craft beer. Well priced and well worth drinking. Recommended
