The Pils Czech Style Pilsner from Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma, California pours out a brassy gold in color with wonderful clarity and is topped with just over a finger of snow white, finely bubbled head that gradually reduces down leaving a small collar. On the nose, aromas of cracker, bread, spice and a little grass. In the mouth, flavors of bread, caramel, a little peppery spice, some hop bitterness and slightly metallic. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Little lacing on the glass. Crisp, clean mouthfeel. Dry on the finish with a slight sweetness and peppery spice hanging on the longest.
A very balanced, well put together pilsner. Great for the Summer months. Recommended.
