The Red Ale from Marble Brewery in Albuquerque, New Mexico pours out a clear, deep amber in color with some tea colored, brownish hues, and is topped with a two finger, off-white, uniformly bubbled head that slowly reduces down to a thin film with a collar. On the nose, aromas of fresh, juicy hops, toffee, orange, grapefruit and a little bread. In the mouth, juicy and mouthwatering with lovely balance. Flavors of grapefruit, orange, toffee, cherry and a little grass. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Slick, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. The finish is long with the bitter hop flavors lasting the longest.
I've tried the IPA, Double IPA, Wildflower Wheat Ale and, now, the Red Ale from Marble Brewery and I have to say they make exceptional craft beers. The Red Ale has wonderful flavor, good balance and is very flavorful. If you like your red ales on the hoppy side this is a craft beer not to miss. Highly recommended.
