The Brown Ale from Upslope brewing Company in Boulder, Colorado pours out cola brown in color with some light getting through and is topped with a two finger, dense, tan colored head that very slowly reduces down to a thin film with a nice collar. On the nose, wonderful roast grain aromas with chocolate, nut and light molasses. In the mouth, flavors of roast grain, dark chocolate, cinder toffee, wood and a trace of nuttiness. Medium bodied. Low to moderate carbonation. Light cream to the mouthfeel. Thick sheets of lacing on the glass. Good flavor with the roast and sweet hanging out the longest on a long finish.
A very smooth, super flavorful, well balanced brown ale. This really is a treat to drink. Recommended.
