The Dank IPA from Dad & Dudes Breweria is brewed and bottled by Prost Brewing Company in Denver, Colorado using Bard Nielsen's recipe. Dank IPA pours out a deep copper in color with good clarity and is topped with a two finger, soapy, off-white head that slowly reduces to a thick film with a good sized collar. On the nose, dank and hoppy, as to be expected, with aromas of pine needle, resin, caramel and earth. In the mouth, rich, juicy and moderately bitter. Flavors of pine, grass, spice and light toffee. Low carbonation. Medium body. Splotchy lacing on the glass. Pretty clean mouthfeel. The finish is long and tilted towards bitter with lingering dank hop flavors.
An aptly named beer that lives up to its name. Good flavor and sustained bitterness but I think it could have used a tad more carbonation. The bitterness is there but it is moderated throughout. Would I drink it again? Absolutely! Recommended.
