Great Divide Brewing Co. Fresh Hop Pale Ale

  • The Fresh Hop Pale Ale from great Divide Brewing Company in Denver, Colorado pours out a clear copper in color and is topped with a foamy, off-white, two finger head that slowly reduces down to a thin film with a small collar. On the nose, beautiful fresh hop bouquet with some sweet malt. Aromas of grass, leafy hops, mild pine, bread and caramel. In the mouth, fresh hop flavors dominate but there is balance. Flavors of hemp, pine, orange rind, grass, fresh bread, spice and caramel. Light to medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thick, almost solid, sheets of lacing on the glass. Good oil in the mouthfeel. The finish is long, juicy with the fresh hop bitterness lingering the longest.

An excellent fresh hop pale ale with all the flavor you'd expect and more. Well crafted and a delight to drink. Fresh hop ales are my favorite craft beer and this one is up near the top of the list. Highly recommended.
