The 75 Minute IPA from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, Delaware pours out a cloudy golden-orange in color and is topped with a dense, creamy, three finger, white head that very slowly reduces down to a thin film with a decent sized collar. Lovely hoppy aromas on the nose. Mandarin orange, pine, grapefruit rind, biscuit and a little maple like sweetness. In the mouth, enough malt to temper the hop bite but not to take away from the hop flavor. Flavors of sweet orange, maple, mandarin orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, bread and a little flower. Vibrant, fine carbonation. Medium bodied. Thick sheets of lacing on the glass. Creamy mouthfeel with just a hint of oil. The finish is long and while the maple tries to hang on right to the end, the bitter, hoppy citrus flavors outlast it.
A really good IPA that is close to being an Imperial IPA. Lovely flavors coat the mouth with both sweetness and bitterness. Well crafted and blended. If you see this on the shelf you should buy it. Highly recommended.
